Trademarks

Last updatedSeptember 22, 2026

Sylvia is the brand our products are offered under, to clinicians and to clinics. This page sets out the marks we claim, who owns them, and how to use them correctly.

We publish it so the question does not have to be asked: a journalist, a customer or a partner should be able to name Sylvia without writing to us first.

These marks are used in commerce in Canada and claimed as such. None is registered today: — MC in French, for « marque de commerce » — signals a claim, not a registration. We use neither ® nor MD (« marque déposée »), and assert no registration.

How to name Sylvia

  • Sylvia is the product. Sylvia Santé is the company. The two are not interchangeable.
  • Intake Assistant (English) and Assistant Prise en charge (French) are the names of the same module, one per language. Do not translate them any other way.
  • Use the mark as an adjective followed by a common noun: "the Sylvia pre-consultation assistant", not "a Sylvia".
  • Never use the mark in the plural, the possessive, or as a verb.
  • A on the first prominent mention in a document is enough; there is no need to repeat it.
  • Keep the initial capital: "Sylvia", never "sylvia" or "SYLVIA" in running text.

Uses we do not permit

  • Using Sylvia, or a name confusingly similar to Sylvia, in your company name, product name, app name, a domain name, or a social media handle.
  • Altering the logo: recolouring, rotating, redrawing, outlining, combining it with another logo, or changing its proportions.
  • Implying a partnership, endorsement, certification or integration that does not exist.
  • Using the mark as a generic term for a category of software.
  • Using the mark on merchandise or in the name of a competing product.

Good-faith reference. You do not need our permission to name Sylvia when you are genuinely talking about Sylvia: a news article, a comparison, documentation, training material, a customer review. Name it accurately, leave the logo unaltered, and do not suggest we endorsed what you wrote.

Asking permission

For any use beyond the above, write to contact@allosylvia.ai describing where and how the mark would appear, with a mock-up if you have one. We usually reply within one business day.

Third-party marks

The EMR and software names used on this site — Medesync, MYLE, Omnimed, Ofys, KinLogix, Oscar, Google Chrome — belong to their respective owners. We name them only to say which systems Sylvia works with. Doing so implies no partnership and no endorsement by them.
